Terms of Service
Last updated: July 4, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By inviting the Omnis Discord bot to a server, logging into the Omnis web dashboard, or otherwise using any part of the Omnis service (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
2. The Service
Omnis is a Discord bot and companion web dashboard offering moderation, leveling, economy, tickets, giveaways, and other community-management tools, configurable through Discord slash commands and the dashboard. Core functionality is provided free of charge; an optional "Premium" tier removes certain free-tier limits and unlocks additional features. The Service is provided on an "as available" basis and may change, be limited, or be discontinued at any time.
3. Eligibility
You must be able to lawfully use Discord in your jurisdiction and meet Discord's own minimum age requirements to use the Service. If you administer a server using Omnis, you're responsible for ensuring your use complies with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
4. Accounts & Access
Dashboard access is authenticated entirely through Discord OAuth — there is no separate Omnis password. Your dashboard access mirrors your actual Discord permissions: you can only configure servers where you hold Manage Server permission (or, for our own support-server staff, a designated staff role). You're responsible for anything that happens through your Discord account's access to the dashboard.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for anything illegal, or to violate Discord's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, or Developer Policy;
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service, our infrastructure, or other users' data;
- Use the Service to harass, threaten, or abuse others, or to facilitate raids, spam, or scams;
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service except where applicable law permits;
- Resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties as your own product without our written permission;
- Use automation to abuse rate limits, exploit bugs, or manipulate economy/leveling/giveaway features beyond intended use.
6. Server Administrator Responsibilities
Server administrators choose which Omnis features to enable in their own servers. If you enable optional features — AI tools, VC transcription/summaries, confessions, economy gambling features, or similar — you're responsible for:
- Configuring them in a way that complies with applicable law in your jurisdiction (including, for VC transcription, any consent-to-record requirements);
- Informing your members that these features are active where appropriate;
- Any content your members submit through custom commands, confessions, tickets, or similar user-generated-content features.
7. Premium & Payment
Premium can be obtained three ways: a recurring PayPal subscription (billed and processed entirely by PayPal — see our Privacy Policy; these Terms don't themselves constitute a payment processor agreement), a redeemable premium key issued by us, or a manual grant from the Omnis team. Premium benefits apply to the specific server(s) they're granted to, not to your account generally. Cancelling a PayPal subscription (from your PayPal account) stops future billing and removes Premium once PayPal confirms the cancellation; we don't prorate or refund partial billing periods except where required by law. We may revoke Premium status for Terms violations regardless of how it was obtained. Other refund requests are handled case-by-case through the contact channel below.
If you're a consumer in the UK, EU, or Canada, nothing in this section limits any statutory cancellation, cooling-off, or refund rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be excluded by agreement — where those rights are broader than what's described above, the broader right applies.
8. White-Label Bots (Premium+)
Premium+ lets you run your own Discord bot application — under your own name, avatar, and Discord bot token — powered by the Omnis codebase, locked to one server you specify. By using this feature, you agree that:
- The Discord application and bot token you provide is yours, created by you, and you're solely responsible for it complying with Discord's Developer Policy and Terms of Service under your own developer account;
- You provide the token voluntarily, understanding we store it encrypted specifically so we can operate that bot on your behalf — see our Privacy Policy for exactly how;
- We restrict your white-label bot to the single server you designate and it will automatically leave any other server it's added to — this is a technical safeguard, not a feature you can disable;
- Deleting your white-label bot from the dashboard immediately and permanently erases the stored token from our systems — we cannot recover it afterward, so keep your own copy if you might need to reconfigure it;
- We're not liable for actions your white-label bot takes that result from how you've configured it, nor for Discord-side consequences (rate limiting, suspension, verification requirements) tied to your own application.
9. Intellectual Property
The Omnis name, logo, and branding are the property of the Omnis team. The underlying software is not licensed to you for redistribution, resale, or creation of a competing service under these Terms — this applies to white-label bots too: the branding on your bot is yours, but the software running it remains ours. Content you or your server members create through the Service (custom commands, profiles, tickets, etc.) remains yours, but you grant us the license needed to store and display it back to you as part of operating the Service.
10. Third-Party Services
The Service depends on Discord and, where enabled, third-party AI and GIF providers (see our Privacy Policy). We aren't responsible for the availability, content, or practices of those third-party services.
11. Disclaimer of Warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of data loss.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Omnis and its operators aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service — including losses from in-Service virtual currency, items, or economy features, which have no real-world monetary value, and including losses arising from your white-label bot token or application.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by removing the bot and/or ceasing to log into the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service, for individual users or entire servers, at our discretion — including for Terms violations, abuse, or extended inactivity.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of New Brunswick, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. This section is written to be primarily consistent with Canadian and UK legal norms; it doesn't override any mandatory consumer-protection law of your own country that applies regardless of the governing law we've chosen (see Section 7 for a specific example on Premium purchases).
